To meet the minimum qualification for an apprenticeship, applicants must A. Complete an application form, accurately responding to all questions and items. B. Meet the minimum requirement of age 17 at time of application (must provide a copy of your Birth Certificate or Government Issued Photo ID). 18 years old when you begin your apprenticeship. C. Be a high school graduate, have a GED, or have a two (2) year Associates Degree or higher. D. Show evidence (OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS) of successful completion of one full credit of high school algebra with a passing grade of C or better, or one post-high school algebra course ( e.g., Adult Education, Community College, etc.) with a passing grade of C or better, or provide evidence of having passed the NJATC ONLINE TECH MATH COURSE. E . Submits DD-214 to verify military training and/or experience if they are a veteran. F. Must pass drug screening and background check. G. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions. H. Must pass the electrical industry aptitude test with a qualifying score of 4 or better. The Apprenticeship Committee will interview applicants who meet all requirements. Apprentices are selected in order of their final ranking.
