PURPOSE/CRITERIA:
IBEW Local 153 Scholarship provides scholarship support to biological or dependent children (as determined by the IRS) including step children who live more than 50% of the time in the household of active union members in good standing who are contributing to the Electrical Industry Advancement Fund.

AMOUNT:

The scholarship will award up to 30% of the per credit hour tuition cost of attendance at IUSB as well as a book stipend. The book stipend award will be calculated at $10 per credit hour up to $153.00 each semester.

RENEWAL CRITERIA:

Scholarships may be renewed after the first year of attendance if the scholarship recipient maintains satisfactory academic progress by maintaining a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Recipients will be awarded the scholarship for the reasonable amount of time needed to complete their degree program if they remain active as a part or full time student. Renewal applicants must submit a letter describing academic progress throughout the year and a current transcript indicating maintenance of the 2.0 GPA requirement.
